Happy Hour

Went to the office today... *Come again?..* Yeah... I am currently on leave..however I still have things pending in the office; i.e. submitting my travel claims, completing my resign checklist.. etc.

Oh, by the way..today as I was walking to the lobby lift after buying some breakfast at Cold Storage; Suria KLCC.. I bumped into the President/CEO; Tan Sri Hassan Merican. I have never bumped into him unexpectedly before.. especially not at the lobby lift.. Anyways... who can tell.. probably..this is the way PETRONAS is saying good bye to me before I'm leaving for good on the 21st of May ;-)

However, the most wonderful moment came later in the evening, when myself, Norida, sis Jaedah, Durah and En Hairi met up for 'Happy Hour' around 18:30 hr. It was a wonderful moment because, occasionally my 'makan' date will revolves around my great friends; Norida, sis Jaedah, Durah and Shalina..

.. Nonetheless, this time around, we managed to convince En Hairi to come along.

Why is this Happy Hour so special..? It is simple...Firstly, the 'Happy Hour' does not involved any liquor; secondly, it is in Little Penang Cafe where none of us have ever step foot into, and thirdly.. the most important of all is that .. There will be 3 of us who'll be moving either within PETRONAS or outside PETRONAS;

Myself (to UKM), Sis Jaedah (LPPG to COG) and En Hairi (LPPG to MITCO).. and we will start our new job scope in June 2008!! What a sweet coincidence !! :-)

It was sad though, Shalina couldn't turn up for she had to go back early due to personal matters... :-(

Hence, my dear friends; Durah, Norida, Sis Jaedah and En Hairi... please accept this humble posting as a way for me to capture the lovely moments I spend with you guys :-) Please know that you guys are great and such nice at hearts... and remember that "Distance is no bar to friendship"... so,Keep In Touch, yea :-)

Farewell Party

'My last day.. OR NOT my last day' in the office... Hmm.. that seems to be the biggest question for me. My official last day in PETRONAS is on the 21st of May 2008, however I still have several Annual Leaves just patiently waiting for me to consume.. which I then decided to embrace them starting on the 13th of May 2008.

On the 12th of May, just like every other weekday mornings...and occasionally on weekend mornings too, I went to my office as usual at Level 34, Tower 1 KLCC

... yes... the well known KLCC.  Infact .. maybe even the UFOs have difficulty to not to detect the KLCC in their radar .. :-D

Arrived at my cubicle around 07:45 hr... looking around.. empty spaces.. still early I supposed. Switched on my lap top, and as I was about to update things down in my organizer it suddenly occurs to me.. I will start my annual leave tomorrow at PETRONAS until only God knows when I will be coming back!! Am I prepared for this?? 

Hmm.. I know I was dead certain of my feeling when I got the offer from UKM in February!! How my heart leapt with joy for my childhood dream of having the 'Dr' title will be a reality at last (at least in 5 years time..).. And my family will be so proud to have both of their kids (my brother and me) as Doctors (Yeah.. okay.. my brother is a medical doctor while I will be a philosophy doctor.. well.whatever the differences are... the 'Doctorate' is still there ;-) ) However, now.. when I'm just counting by days instead of by weeks in reaching my last day... 

 

My heart suddenly loss its sparkle of happiness .. where has all the pleasure of pursuing my dream gone to?? Somehow...my objective becomes blurr.... such a scary feeling... 

when oneself filled with uncertainty...The only thing that can cheer me up now is treasuring the moments and friendship I receive when I'm in PETRONAS.. 

For me..I believe that.. 'Location doesn't matter when there is a bond of friendship'..

Hence, I really appreciate those in Supply and Logistic Department who had organized a Farewell Party for me on the 12th of May 2008.. The strength I pulled together to control my emotion was shaken by the warmth I received that day.........  As an attempt to capture the moment forever, I insert some of the photos which was taken by my sweet friend cum successor; Zuraida Zakaria through her mobile phone... Thanks babe... appreciate it soo much :-)

Even tough I am no poet... however  I got an inspiration from a good friend through his beautiful short and simple poem in order to produce my own poem for this post. Thus now.. I cherished these poem here.. and lets appreciate the 

meaning, shall we.
